Our Madrasa

Weekday and Weekends

In this age of information technology, our youth are exposed to an onslaught of ideas and fads. Many of these are harmful, engendering feelings of isolation, anxiety, and discontent. It is our responsibility to equip our children with knowledge and tools to navigate the world they live in without falling prey to contemporary social ills.

At OCC Madrasa, students receive an Islamic education adapted for the modern-day. They learn about their religion with qualified, enthusiastic teachers grounded in the fundamentals of Islamic knowledge.

Our curriculum maintains a balance between Qur’anic Recitation, Memorisation, Islamic Studies, Arts and Crafts, and Prophetic Sports. We also organise retreats and trips. These give the children a break from their studies and strengthen the bonds between students and their teachers.

Everything you need to know about our Madrasa

There are 10 classes. These are based on age and level (ages 5-7; ages 8-10; ages 11-14).

We don’t offer online classes for Madrasa. We believe that students only really benefit from being in the company and presence of teachers, and this is how religion has always been taught.

Yes, we have exams at the end of each term and then a final end-of-year exam. Certificates will be given at the end of each exam and at the end of the academic year.

Between 50 to 70 students enrol each year.

In the past 12 years, over 700 children have taken part in the OCC Madrasa programme.

Each year, OCC Madrasa organises one outdoor trip and one retreat to Wales. Excluding travel and accommodation costs, there is no additional fee for attending. Students also have a discounted price for all annual sojourns to Wales, Turkey and Umrah.
